Bishop Thrones and Chairs

The bishop's throne or cathedra is the chair or throne of the bishop, and it is the symbol of the bishop's teaching authority in the Orthodox Church.This seat is typcially a richly carved seat with a canopy and is adorned with an icon of Christ.
