The bishop's throne or cathedra is the chair or throne of the bishop, and it is the symbol of the bishop's teaching authority in the Orthodox Church. This seat is typcially a richly carved seat with a canopy and is adorned with an icon of Christ. These pictures offer a sampling of the thones and chairs that Konstantinos Papadakis has carved for churches throughout the world.
